When you come to our office, you will find our staff to be very friendly. We will find out if you are experiencing any pain or discomfort and discuss options on how you would like to move forward with your dental treatment.
As part of your exam, we will take photos and any needed X-rays. Dr. Blackenburg does a thorough oral exam and reviews all of the findings and results. Dr. Blackenburg takes the needed time to sit down with you and explain your different treatment options.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation
Dr. Blackenburg does in-depth analyses and exams for patients who have had problems with dentistry. He will layout a comprehensive treatment plan to restore health and put an end to countless problems and treatment. The treatment plans are then executed in partnership with a restorative dentist.
Bone Grafting and Sinus Lifts
Bone grafting is a procedure for regenerating lost bone. Dr. Blackenburg performs bone grafting to provide support for implant placement. To provide the needed bone support for implant placement in the upper jaw, Dr. Blackenburg may perform a sinus lift. He is excellent at keeping you comfortable throughout the procedure.
Dental Implant Cleanings
Just like natural teeth, dental implants require good hygiene and maintenance. We provide implant cleanings so that your implants remain in the best possible condition. We also educate you on how to properly clean and take care of your implants at home.
Treatment of Infected Implants
Implants can get infected for various reasons, causing inflammation of the gum and loss of bone in the area surrounding the implant. Dr. Blackenburg treats the infection and does his best to preserve the implants whenever possible.
Tooth and Wisdom Tooth Extractions
Dr. Blackenburg’s strategy is to save teeth whenever possible. When a tooth is too damaged to remain or to prepare for implant placement, he performs gentle tooth and wisdom tooth extractions. Dr. Blackenburg uses special techniques and materials to minimize discomfort and promote fast healing.
Crown Lengthening
Dr. Blackenburg occasionally removes some gum tissue to make it possible for a crown, bridge or filling to be placed close to the gumline. This is called “functional crown lengthening.” After the procedure, a crown, bridge or filling can be placed without problems.
Frenectomies for Lip and Tongue Tie
When the tissue that connects the mouth and the tongue or lip, known as the frenum, is too strong or too short, it can impede the movement of the tongue or lips. This frequently occurs in newborns and can make breast feeding difficult. In older children it can cause difficulties with speech and swallowing and interfere with oral hygiene. Dr. Blackenburg removes the excess tissue using a simple procedure.
Oral Cancer Screening
As part of your New Patient Exam, Dr. Blackenburg performs oral cancer screening to detect any abnormal cells that could indicate oral cancer.
Comfort Amenities
Our friendly and helpful staff have many amenities that keep you comfortable and relaxed during your visits. We offer water and coffee in the waiting room and our treatment rooms are equipped with pillows, blankets and TVs. We will even try to play your favorite music.
Dr. Blackenburg is a good communicator who takes the time to explain procedures in detail. If you feel fearful regarding a certain procedure, he can offer you oral sedation.
